I have encoded many videos from Hey!Watch and this is the format that I randomly selected awhile back to download in. For some reason, today I have encoded two videos from YouTube and I only get the audio. It opens in my Windows Media Player as a video and plays the audio, but the picture is just a screensaver-type animation that sort of synchs to the music. It has happened with 2 completely different videos.

Am I doing something wrong in the encoding process. I used 2 credits and I don’t want to waste anymore if I am doing it incorrectly.

Someone please help!

Hi BaggyJeansBoy,

I’ve just checked your videos and they are both working with my video player (sounds+pictures). Actually, the best way, if I can give you an advice, is to try an other player. Actually, WMP is not a very reliable one and you can easily encounter issues even if it’s never happened before. For me, VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html) is by far the best one. You should give it a try.

I don’t know if this means anything, but for some reason – when I play these videos, WMP says “Acquiring Codec” and then “Codec acquired”. I wonder if I need to update my Codec – or something like that. I just find it odd that it will play ALL my other videos except these 2 new ones.
